HONG Jungmin Shares a Special Day with Young Golfers Through KLPGA Talent-Sharing Program
[THE CAPTURE=Kang Byeong-koo] HONG Jungmin (24, Korea Land & Housing Trust), last season’s KLPGA Tour Money Winner, took part in a special talent-sharing event for aspiring young golfers.
The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) announced that it held its “KLPGA with YOU” talent-sharing program on May 14 at Gamsung Elementary School in Sejong City.
The event was organized as part of the KLPGA’s “Junior Golf Environment Development Project,” which supports schools through golf practice facilities, equipment donations, and educational opportunities for young golfers.
HONG Jungmin, who captured three victories during the 2025 KLPGA Tour season and earned both the Money Title and a share of the Multi-Win Title, personally participated in the program and spent valuable time with the students.
Throughout the session, HONG provided detailed instruction on swing fundamentals and putting techniques, offering lessons tailored to the students’ individual skill levels. The young participants enthusiastically followed her guidance and gained both confidence and motivation through direct interaction with a professional golfer.
“At first, I was nervous and had a lot of concerns,” HONG said. “But the students were so enthusiastic and eager to learn that it became a truly enjoyable experience.”
She added, “I hope today helps them enjoy golf even more and inspires them to continue pursuing their dreams in the sport.”
The KLPGA continues to support youth golf development through various social contribution programs, including the KLPGA Talent Donation Team, KLPGA Kidz Golf Camp, and the Junior Golf Environment Development Project.
Through these initiatives, the organization aims to nurture future golf talent and expand participation in the game across Korea.
