PARK Hyejun Doosan E&C We've “Five Birdies, No Mistakes” — Park Hyejun Takes Control at The Star Hue

[Yangpyeong=Kang Byeong-koo] PARK Hyejun (Doosan E&C We've) climbed to the top of the leaderboard on the opening day of the Sh Suhyup Bank MBN Women’s Open.

Competing at The Star Hue Golf & Resort in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, on May 29, Park recorded five birdies without a single bogey for a flawless 5-under-par 67, earning the outright lead after the first round.

She picked up birdies on the 3rd, 6th, and 8th holes during the front nine to reach 3-under par. Continuing her strong form on the back nine, she added birdies on the 11th and 18th holes to strengthen her position at the top of the leaderboard.

Park’s performance was highlighted by her consistency and composure throughout the day. She capitalized on scoring opportunities with aggressive play when chances arose, while calmly saving par in difficult situations to maintain momentum.

With a bogey-free 67, Park completed the opening round as the sole leader and established a strong foundation in pursuit of her first victory of the season.

Despite the demanding course setup at The Star Hue Golf & Resort, Park displayed impressive shot-making and reliable putting. If she can maintain the same level of play over the remaining rounds, she is expected to remain one of the leading contenders for the championship title.
