LEE Jihyeon3 Erases 163.8 Meters with a Single Swing… Career Second Hole-in-One
[Yangpyeong=Kang Byeong-koo] LEE Jihyeon3 produced one of the most memorable moments of the opening round at the Sh Suhyup Bank MBN Women’s Open by recording a spectacular hole-in-one.
Competing at The Star Hue Golf & Resort in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, on May 29, Lee aced the 5th hole, a 164-yard par 3, during the first round of the tournament. Her tee shot landed perfectly and rolled directly into the cup for an unforgettable ace.
According to official KLPGA records, Lee’s shot traveled 163.8 meters before finding the bottom of the hole. The hole-in-one marked the second ace of her professional career and her first since 2020, ending a six-year wait for another perfect shot.
After completing the round, Lee celebrated the achievement with a bright smile at the tournament’s hole-in-one photo wall, enjoying the special moment with tournament officials and fans.
As part of the hole-in-one prize package, Lee received a Bang Golf hybrid iron set and a Karma Motion Bed.
Meanwhile, the Sh Suhyup Bank MBN Women’s Open features a total prize purse of KRW 1 billion and has brought together many of Korea’s top golfers competing for the championship title.
