YOU Ahyeon Wins Second Straight Dream Tour Title After Playoff Thriller
[THE CAPTURE=Kang Byeong-koo] YOU Ahyeon (19) continued her remarkable rise on the KLPGA Dream Tour by capturing her second consecutive victory in dramatic fashion.
Competing at Muan Country Club in Jeollanam-do, YOU finished the KLPGA 2026 Muan CC·All For You Dream Tour 4th Event with a total score of 10-under-par 136, tying Hwang Yeonseo and forcing a playoff.
The battle for the title proved anything but easy.
The two players returned to the 18th hole for a playoff that extended through three extra holes. In the end, it was YOU who emerged victorious.
On the third playoff hole, Hwang managed only a par, while YOU calmly rolled in a birdie putt to secure the championship. The victory followed her triumph at the previous Dream Tour event, giving her back-to-back titles on the developmental tour.
Following the win, YOU expressed both excitement and disbelief.
“It’s difficult enough to win one tournament, so winning two weeks in a row still feels unreal,” she said. “I focused on staying concentrated until the very end, and I think that made the difference.”
One of the tournament's defining moments came during the second playoff hole.
After watching her opponent hole a lengthy birdie putt, YOU could have felt the pressure. Instead, she remained composed. Free from expectations, she confidently stroked her own birdie attempt, which dropped into the cup and extended the playoff.
That moment ultimately paved the way for her eventual victory.
With the win, YOU recorded the second Dream Tour title of her career and moved to the top of the season-long money list with earnings of KRW 23.45 million.
Still only 19 years old, YOU Ahyeon has quickly established herself as one of the most promising young players on the KLPGA developmental circuit. Her recent performances have made her one of the leading contenders for promotion to the main tour and a player to watch throughout the remainder of the season.
